TRAINING & CLASSES
Taekwondo
Taekwondo is the popular martial art of Korea but it is practiced world wide. Taekwondo is not merely fighting skills but provides students with the health benefits of exercise as well as self-defense skills. Students also learn discipline and respect, self confidence, cooperation and leadership skills.
Taekwondo uses both upper and lower body movements so students get a whole body workout and strengthen multiple muscles during training. The training includes kicking and blocking techniques, self-defense and patterns, sparring, board breaking and demonstrations.
At K1 Tae Kwon Do P.L.U.S., our goal is to provide students with a high quality education in Taekwondo while ensuring a fun environment that is challenging and rewarding for everyone.
Weapons Training
Students will have fun learning new training techniques with Nunchucks. Since these Nunchucks have some weight to them, they will help students develop muscle tone, strength and coordination.
WUSHU PROGRAM
WUSHU is one of the most visually appealing sports today. WUSHU routine (taolu) training comprises of traditional martial arts movements such as punches, kicks sweeps and blocks. In addition, the routines incorporate the elements of jumps, turns, spins and acrobatics in the most difficult and dramatic fashion. Various Chinese weaponry, choreography and "shaolin" style forms are taught in this program. Made popular by action films such as "Hero" and "Crouching Tiger - Hidden Dragon", WUSHU is an Olympic level sport practiced by the likes of action stars Jet Li. Our program is designed for children, youth and adults looking for a challenge in physical precision with a long-term approach to excellence. There are 5 level in the WUSHU curriculum that incorporates specific content dictated by the standards of the International WUSHU Federation.

Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics is a beautiful sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics and modern dance with manipulation of ropes, clubs, hoops, balls, and ribbons. The students learn to move their bodies and to balance, pivot and leap while holding ropes, clubs, hoops, balls, or ribbons.
Rhythmic Gymnastics combines exercise and dance into a fun activity that will stimulate your child and build their self-confidence.
